This digital stethoscope is innovated by a health tech company Ayu Devices Pvt Ltd incubated at IIT Bombay.

Ayu Devices manufactures hardware and develops software medical solutions for resource constraint places. It has innovated India’s first indigenous Bluetooth enabled Digital Stethoscope named “AyuSynk” that has proved to be a boon for our medical fraternity.

To talk about it’s utility, first and foremost this Digital Stethoscope is helpful for doctors safety as they promote ‘Doctor-Patient distancing’ thanks to the Bluetooth technology through which these stethoscopes can also be used while wearing PPEs which otherwise cannot be done using conventional stethoscopes. Also the doctors can maintain a safe distance with the patients and still can hear the heart and lung sounds using his phone through a dedicated ‘AyuShare application’ that comes with lifetime access with this stethoscope.

Recently BIRAC under Department of Biotechnology Govt of India and WISH foundation have published a white paper about AyuSynk utility in Primary Health Centers. This study was a result of usage of our device in 65+ primary Health centers in Rajasthan state. Also Ayu Devices have implemented a project with PwC and Govt of Assam for the use of their device in Guwahati.

AyuSynk digital stethoscopes are very useful for Cardiologists, Chest physicians, Pediatricians, Anaesthetists and General Practitioners . The amplification feature of this Digital Stethoscope makes sure even the faintest of murmurs is heard clearly. The stethoscopes find various other utilities be it the Primary Health Care centres where these are already being used or the various Telehealth projects one of them being E-Sanjeevani. Also these Digital stethoscopes are very useful for the medical students pursuing their MBBS or higher medical education to polish their Auscultation skills(hearing and analysing patient’s heart and lung sound). Ayu Devices’s digital stethoscopes are equally useful to all the medical professors and teaching staff for teaching auscultations to the students. Heart sounds can be recorded and played using speakers thus enabling the whole class to listen to different sounds from different patients again enabling them to enhance their learning.

Ayu Devices Pvt Ltd is an existing supplier of AyuSynk Digital Stethoscopes to various prominent hospitals, medical colleges such as KEM, JJ, Nair in Mumbai also 15 Devices have been deployed at the prestigious King George Medical College at Lucknow. Also they have supplied their stethoscope to Nanded, Sangli and Nandurbar districts PHCs where these are used by the RBSK doctors where the specialists Heart and Lungs doctors cannot reach due to shortage of specialist doctors in our country. As their digital stethoscopes are the need of the hour to bridge the gap of shortage of doctors, AyuSynk digital stethoscope is being widely used by various Telemedicine companies that have emerged in the last two years, also it is used by the Telemedicine Society of India. I feel proud to tell you that various NGOs are also approaching them who are working towards the betterment of our country through Primary Healthcare Centres. Apart from an ongoing project with WISH FOUNDATION Rajasthan, Ayu Devices have also supplied their stethoscopes to MoneyLife foundation, Lions Clubs International, Innerwheel Club International,etc.
